BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb Women's Soccer lost in a slippery battle on the pitch to Big South Conference opponent Campbell on Sunday Night. The final score was 5-0, Campbell.
Emma Bushee led the Camels tonight with two goals, scoring in the 37
th and 65
th minutes of match play, helping Campbell to take home the win.
Goalkeeper
Katelyn Kellogg spent 26 minutes in between the posts for Gardner-Webb, she totaled six saves to keep it a tied game before exiting the match due to a hand injury.
Taking over for Kellogg,
Paula Suarez Is spent 63 minutes in goal, having just three saves and allowing five total goals past her.
The Camels paced the night in shots with a total of 23, with 14 of those being on goal.
Gardner-Webb only managed to take four shots during the full 90 minutes, with just two on goal.
Jada Newton led with three, and a pair were on goal, followed by teammate
Alisha Holcombe having just one.
Gardner-Webb women's soccer will be back in action on Saturday, April 3
rd, as they travel to take on UNC Asheville at 2:00 PM.
