Big South Releases Seedings for 2021 Men's Tennis Championship

CHARLOTTE – The Big South Conference announced the seedings for the 2021 Men's Tennis Championship, and Gardner-Webb earned the #3 seed for the tournament. The championship will be held on March 16-17 at Marion Diehl Park in Charlotte, N.C.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will face off with the #2 Radford Highlanders in the semifinals of the event on the 16th at 2:00 p.m. The winner of the matchup will face off with the victor between #1 UNC Asheville and #4 Presbyterian on April 17 at 3:00 p.m. to decide the conference's champion.
Gardner-Webb finished the conference regular season at 3-2. The team opened the season by winning their first three matches in conference contested over six days. It started with a 6-1 win over Campbell (3/8), followed by a 6-1 victory against Longwood (3/11). That week's action ended with the 'Dogs prevailing at Presbyterian, 5-2.
The conference regular season did not end on as hot of a streak as the team dropped its two remaining matches. Gardner-Webb dropped its match at Radford, (3/26), 6-1. This was followed by the Runnin' Bulldogs losing to the conference champions, UNC Asheville, on April 7, 5-2.
