CHARLOTTE – The Big South Conference released the winner of its 2021 Annual Season Awards on Thursday afternoon. Three Runnin' Bulldogs earned one of the conference's accolades.
Miljana Ristic was listed to the First Team All-Conference Singles Team after collecting four wins on the #1 court this season and posting a 2-2 record in Big South play. She was the only person to play in the #1 flight for the Runnin' Bulldogs this season.
Part of the First Team All-Conference Doubles included Daniela Naupari and M. Ristic. Together, the pair finished with a 5-3 record, all in the #1 position. In conference play, this duo dominated in a 6-0 triumph over Longwood on March 11.
Naupari was also named to the Second Team All-Conference Singles after completing an impressive 5-2 season. In six of her seven matches on the season, she had to play three sets, winning four of these. In conference play, Naupari flourished as she collected wins over the #2 players of the fellow qualifying tournament participants, Charleston Southern, Presbyterian, and Radford.
She was also selected to the conference's All-Academic Team after collecting a 3.91 GPA throughout her college career.
Rounding out the Gardner-Webb honorees to these teams was Manon Delsol, earning a Second Team All-Conference Singles selection. Delsol provided key victories to the team all season in crucial matches. She finished the season with a 5-4 record, and 3-1 within conference play.
