Allison Chandler Named Big South Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the year

CHARLOTTE – Gardner-Webb graduate student Allison Chandler was named 2021 Big South Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year on Monday, as selected by the league's head coaches.
It is Chandler's second consecutive nod as the league's top academic award winner. She has yet to make a "B" in college, carrying a perfect 4.0 grade point average as an undergraduate – and now in pursuit of her MBA.
Chandler, who also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District III honors last spring and was a Bob A. Christenberry Award winner, posted three top-10 finishes this season on the links.
She led Gardner-Webb to second place at the recent 2021 Big South Championships, carding a 222 over 54 holes to finish 10th individually. She posted a head-to-head win over the stroke play medalist in the match play semifinals to key Gardner-Webb's run to the finals.
