USTFCCCA Names XC All-Academic Teams

NEW ORLEANS – Gardner-Webb's men's and women's cross-country teams were named NCAA Division I Cross Country Academic Teams. The U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association named the squads to the list.
The women's team has posted a 3.68 cumulative GPA, which includes the fall semester's grades. The team's GPA is one of the top-sixty in the country. BYU was named the Women's Scholar Team of the Year. Gardner-Webb's Taylor Robinson helped the team earn this honor as she was selected to the Big South Women's All-Academic Team.
Gardner-Webb's men's squad has accumulated a 3.47 GPA to receive the honor. In total, there were 199 men's teams who received the honor. Northern Arizona was selected as the Men's Scholar Team of the Year. Joe Waller led the Runnin' Bulldogs to this honor after being elected to the Big South Men's All-Academic Team.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
