MORGANTON, N.C. – Gardner-Webb women's golf captured fourth place Tuesday at the 2021 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate hosted by Appalachian State.
The 54-hole tournament was played on the 6,170-yard (Par 72) Mimosa Hills Golf & Country Club course on Monday and Tuesday. Teams closed play with 18 holes on Tuesday, with Jacksonville State capturing the team title.
Gardner-Webb finished three strokes behind third-place Appalachian State and seven strokes off the pace of second-place Elon.
Dominika Burdova (76-76-79) finished fifth individually, pacing a trio of top-10 individual finishes for Gardner-Webb.
Linnea Hofgren (82-76-76) and
Allison Chandler (79-72-83) tied for 10th position individually, with Chandler's second Monday round of 72 tied for the lowest of any golfer during the tournament.
Ellis Harvie (81-80-81) took 23rd for the Runnin' Bulldogs and
Gillian O'Brien (88-77-79) followed close behind in 25th.
Linsday Koppel (83-86-80) moved up two positions on Tuesday to finish in 29th place.
Next up for Gardner-Webb is the 2021 Big South Conference Women's Golf Championship on April 14-17 in Ninety Six, S.C. The Runnin' Bulldogs will serve as host for the event at the Patriot Club.
