Gardner-Webb Wrestling Ranked Among NWCA Top-30 Scholar All-American Teams; Mosley Earns Scholar All-American Honors

MANHEIM, Pa – The Gardner-Webb wrestling program was recognized for its success in the classroom, earning a spot on the 2021 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Top-30 Scholar All-American Team list, while RJ Mosley was named a NWCA Scholar All-American.
The Runnin' Bulldogs posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3015, ranking 22nd among all NCAA Division I programs. Long Island University had the top GPA in the nation at 3.5584.
Mosley, an Economics/Finance major, finished the 2021 season with a 12-6 overall record at the 165-pound weight class, making his first trip to the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, in which he earned a 9-7 decision over No. 12 Jake Keating of Virginia in the first wrestleback round.
The Oklahoma City, Okla. native was 7-1 in dual matches against Southern Conference opponents and has earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors for two consecutive seasons.
