
Women's Tennis Honors Seniors

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The women's tennis program honored its seniors in April prior to its practice. The players honored were Valentine Limauge, Daniela Naupari, Miljana Ristic, Milica Panic, Elin Hellberg. In 2019, this group of players helped the team to a school-best third place Big South regular season finish.
Limauge has been a consistent force in the Women's Tennis program since her first season in 2018. In her freshman year, she earned Big South Freshman of the Week twice (2/21, 3/21). She has compiled 26 career singles victories over her four years playing on all courts between 2 and 6. At this point, she has collected 12 doubles wins. In 2018, she earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors twice. She was also selected to the 2019 Big South All-Academic Team. Limauge was responsible for providing the match-clinching point against College of Charleston, and conference foe-Longwood.
Naupari has developed into one of the top competitors in the Runnin' Bulldogs program. She has collected 40 wins in singles matches, 15 coming on the #2 court. In doubles matches, she tallied 31 doubles victories. She has been named Big South Player of the Week twice this season. She has also worked hard in the classroom, earning a spot on the 2018 and 2020 Big South All-Academic Team. In addition to these conference awards, Naupari was selected to the 2017 Second-Team All-Conference Singles and 2019 Second-Team All-Conference doubles team. She ended her career by earning spots to the Conference's 2021 First Team for doubles, Second Team for singles, and a spot on the All-Academic Team.
Panic transferred to Gardner-Webb from the University of Montana in 2018. In her two seasons with the Runnin' Bulldogs, she tallied six doubles and four singles wins. In 2020, she played in the #1 doubles flight and defeated Elon's pair 6-0 with her partner Daniela Naupari.
Ristic was selected to the 2019 Second-Team All-Conference Singles and Second-Team All-Conference Doubles. She has collected 34 victories in singles and doubles matches each, 14 on the #1 singles court in the past three seasons. In the past three seasons, Ristic has only played in the #1 doubles position and compiled 17 victories. Ristic provided the point to clinch the team's first win of the year against UNC Wilmington. Ristic also earned spots on the 2021 Big South First Team for singles and doubles.
Hellberg joined the Runnin' Bulldogs this season after transferring from USC Upstate. She has collected three key singles victories up to this point on the season, including the match-clinching point in the conference opener versus UNC Asheville and another against Davidson. She has gone 5-5 in doubles matches this season, all from the #3 flight. In her career at USC Upstate, Hellberg won 15 singles matches and 17 doubles matches. She was also named to the 2002 Big South All-Academic Team. She will be completing her undergraduate degree this year and return in the spring and finish her collegiate career for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
