Nine Runnin’ Bulldogs Named to 2021 SoCon Academic All-Conference Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Gardner-Webb wrestling had nine student-athletes earn spots on the 2021 Southern Conference Academic All-Conference team, as announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.
Brandon Bright (Edmond, Okla.), Trevon Majette (Chesapeake, Va.), RJ Mosley (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Taylor Parks (Arlington, Texas), Gabriel Pickett (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.), Evan Schenk (Painesville, Ohio), Anthony Schiess (Cary, N.C.), Conrad Schiess (Cary, N.C.), and Jack Trautman (Waterford, Wis.) each joined the list of 920 student-athletes selected among SoCon institutions and its associate members.
To be eligible for the SoCon Academic All-Conference Team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the semester of competition and were required to compete in at least one-half of their teams' competitions. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
