CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Gardner-Webb senior forward Maddie Turlington (Roanoke, Texas) has been named the Big South Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
 
Turlington scored both of Gardner-Webb's goals in the Runnin' Bulldogs' 2-0 Big South-opening win over UNC Asheville.  She netted her first score at 32:05, and then added an insurance goal at the 85:23 mark to seal the victory while playing the full 90 minutes.

The Runnin' Bulldogs will be back in action on Wednesday, September 22nd, as they host the Winthrop University Eagles. Game time is set for 7 pm, and will stream on ESPN+.
