SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Gardner-Webb women's golf shot its lowest round on the final day to pull into a tie for seventh at the 2022 Wofford Intercollegiate at Carolina Country Club.

The Runnin' Bulldogs shot a 303 on Tuesday, trimming six strokes off their seocnd round score and nine strokes off the first round score to finish at 924 for the 54-hole event. GWU tied with Texas A&M Corpus Christi pulling even as the Islanders shot a final round of 308.

Senior Linnea Hofgren led the way for Gardner-Webb, shooting a 73 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for sixth individually (74-75-73-222). She sank nine birdie putts and finished at 3-under on the tournament's Par 5 holes.

Neza Siftar (83-76-75-234) and Katelyn Griggs (79-78-77-234) each finished in a tie for 33rd, Kayla Dowell (76-80-79-235) was one stroke back in 40th and Georgia Barr (83-87-78-248) rebounded with a solid final round for Gardner-Webb.

USC Upstate won the tournament, slipping past South Dakota by three strokes (908).

Up next for Gardner-Webb is the French Broad Women's Invitational on November 6 and November 7.
