LYNCHBURG, Va. - Gardner-Webb swimming wrapped up its final day of competition of CCSA Championships at the Liberty Natatorium on Saturday evening.
In the women's 1,650-yard freestyle,
Adrianna Barone placed seven, clocking in a time of 17:32.34 at the wall.
On the men's side in the 1,650-yard freestyle,
Garrett Despres (15:58.54) placed eighth, while
Brady Vann (16:09.25) followed in ninth place.
Seggio Bernardina picked up a seventh-place finish in the men's 100-yard freestyle, clocking in a time of 45.51 seconds at the wall.
The Runnin' Bulldogs had a slew of swimmers place in the A final of the men's 200-yard backstroke.
Tim Bennett (1:48.15) made the podium with a third-place finish,
Cullen Fields (1:48.54) followed in fourth,
Landon Clark (1:50.82) took sixth,
Christian Jann (1:51.39) placed eighth, and
Bryan Dunne (1:55.62) followed in ninth.
As for the men's 200-yard breaststroke,
Jonathan Frye finished in fourth place with a time of 2:01.86 at the wall.
In the women's 400-yard freestyle relay, the squad of
Alyssa Church,
Paris Binard,
Emma Maust, and
Eliza Gunson placed seventh with a time of 3:29.93 at the finish.
In the final event of CCSA Championships, the men's squad of
Seggio Bernardina,
Brady Fields,
Logan Cornelison, and Tim Bennet placed fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:00.92 at the wall.
At the conclusion of CCSA's the men finished in third with a grand total of 725 points, and the women finished in seventh with 624.50 points.
