BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Men's Tennis hosts North Carolina A&T (2-4) on Saturday, April 2 in the team's final regular season home conference match of 2022. Before the match's first serve at 1:30 p.m., the team will honor its lone senior, Sebastian Harris at 12:30 p.m.
 
Harris (Berkshire, England) concludes his four-year career at Gardner-Webb accumulating 29 singles and 25 doubles victories. Harris has served as the team captain for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In the fall 2021 tournament season, he paired with Connor Enslin in the ITA Regionals and knocked off three ranked opponents in their run to the quarterfinals. During his freshman year, he helped the team claim its first Regular Season Big South Championship. Harris was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2019 and 2020. He was named Big South Player of the Week on February 20, 2020.
 
Gardner-Webb has two matches remaining this season, Sunday hosting UNC Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. followed by the regular season finale at UNC Asheville on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
 
Following the end of the regular season, the Big South Tournament will be contested with the top six teams from the regular season competing in it. The quarterfinals will be held on campus sites between April 14-16. The semifinals and finals will be held at Marion Diehl Park in Charlotte, N.C. on April 23 and 24.
