Men's Tennis Earns #3 Seed for Upcoming Championship Tournament

CHARLOTTE – The Big South announced the seedings for the Men's Tennis Championship with the Runnin' Bulldogs earning the #3 seed for the event. Gardner-Webb will host a first-round matchup against #6 North Carolina A&T on Thursday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m.
Gardner-Webb finished the season with a 5-2 record in the Big South. This is the third consecutive year the 'Dogs have received a top-three seed for the tournament, making semifinal appearances in each of the events.
Campbell took the top spot in the league with a perfect 7-0 mark. Radford came in at second (6-1) with Gardner-Webb behind them in third. The field for the tournament was rounded out by #4 Presbyterian (4-3), #5 UNC Asheville (3-4), and #6 North Carolina A&T (2-5).
First-round matches will be held at campus sites. #3 GWU will host #6 N.C. A&T while #4 Presbyterian will welcome #5 UNC Asheville. The semifinals and finals of the tournament will be held at Marion Diehl Park in Charlotte, N.C. on March 23 and 24. #1 Campbell will face the winner of the #4/5 match, and #2 Radford will go against the #3/6 match-winner with the final two playing against each other on Sunday.
