
Phillips Named Big South Freshman Runner of the Week for Second Time

CHARLOTTE – Gardner-Webb's Dylan Phillips was named the Big South Freshman Runner of the week for the second time this season on Wednesday afternoon. The Runnin' Bulldogs have competed in two meets this season with Phillips named the FROTW for his performance each time.
Phillips completed his first 8K of the season on Saturday morning at the Winthrop Invitational. He finished the race in 27:30, the best time among the runners from Gardner-Webb. Individually, he crossed the finish line in 16th place at the event.
The Big South selected John Ciprich of UNC-Asheville and Micah Gilpatric of Charleston Southern as the male runners of the week.
Gardner-Webb will be back in action on October 7 for a meet hosted by Queens.
