Gardner-Webb's Jack Boyer Named Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb's Jack Boyer was named Big South Conference Men's Golf Freshman of the Week on Thursday, following a strong effort at the 2022 River Run Collegiate.
Boyer (Greensboro, N.C.) was Gardner-Webb's top golfer at the River Run Collegiate with a 3-over 219 (77-69-73). He tied for 23rd overall, was three shots off the Top 10, and tied as the fourth-highest finisher among the 22 Big South competitors in the field.
His second-round score of 69 was the lowest for any Gardner-Webb golfer for the tournament.
Gardner-Webb will be back in action at the 2022 Ironwood Collegiate Classic in Greenville, N.C., on October 3.
