Siftar Moves up Leaderboard Following Big Third Round

GWU finished tied for 15th
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Neza Siftar tallied a two-under, 70 in the final round of the UNCG Collegiate to move up the leaderboard 27 spots as Gardner-Webb concluded play on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
After carding a 77 and a 76 in the first two rounds, the junior picked up four birdies in the final round, vaulting up the boards to pick up a top-25 finish in a field of 107 athletes. Siftar recorded eight birdies this week to lead the Runnin' Bulldogs.
As a team, Gardner-Webb finished tied for 15th with fellow Big South rival Winthrop, tallying a 67-over, 311 three-round score. The 'Dawgs finished above region foes NC A&T, NC Central, and The Citadel, and just 14 strokes outside of a top-10 finish.
Ashley Huffman finished tied for 43rd, carding a 13-over, 229 three-round score. Huffman shot a pair of 77s before picking up a 75 in the second round.
Playing as an individual, Georgia Barr tied for 62nd, shooting an 18-over, 234. After shooting an 81, Barr improved nicely with a 77 and a 76 in the final rounds.
Anna Snoblova finished tied for 82nd with a 23-over, 239, while her teammate Vileska Gelpi finished tied for 86th with a 24-over, 240. Julia Buchgeher finished 103rd with a 38-over, 254.
High Point won the team championship with a six-under, 858 three-round score. Anna Howerton of the Panthers won the individual championship with a 15-under, 201 three-round score.
