Runnin' Bulldogs Finish 12th at Ironwood Collegiate

Bradley Davis Jr. moved up four spots in the final round
GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's golf team finished 12th overall at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
As a team, the Runnin' Bulldogs shot a 26-over, 890 three-round score. GWU recorded a pair of ten-over, 298's in the first and third rounds, and a six-over, 294 in the second round. The team's 164 total pars were the fourth-most of the field.
Jack Boyer was the top finisher for the Runnin' Bulldogs, finishing tied for 38th after shooting a three-over, 219 three-round score. Boyer shot a one-under 71 in the first round and an even-par 72 in the second round, before shooting a four-over 76 in the final round. The sophomore shot even-par on par fours at the Ironwood Country Club, and shot two-under for an average score of 4.83 on par fives, along with teammate Bradley Davis Jr. Boyer and Mark Chandler led the 'Dawgs this week with 11 birdies apiece.
Jules Bondil finished tied for 51st, shooting a five-over, 221 three-round score. He led Gardner-Webb and ranked fourth in the entire field with 38 pars. Bondil also shot an even-par average score on par fives.
Max White and Davis Jr. both finished tied for 56th with a pair of seven-over, 223 three-round scores. Davis Jr. played as an individual, and moved up four spots in the final round, carding an even-par 72 on Tuesday, Oct. 3. White was the only Gardner-Webb golfer to tally an eagle, needing just three strokes to find the hole on the par-five foruth hole in the second round.
Chandler and Carter Rains both finished tied for 71st after tallying 13-over, 229 three-round scores. Pattrasuth Boonthumrongkit rounded out the scoring for Gardner-Webb, finishing tied for 75th with a 14-over, 230 three-round score.
Florida Atlantic won the team title, while Lucas Augustsson of East Carolina won the individual championship.
