Neza Siftar Records Fourth Place Finish at French Broad Collegiate

It is her fourth top-10 finish this season

ARDEN, N.C. - For the fourth time this season and second week in a row, Neza Siftar picked up a top-10 finish, finishing tied for fourth at the French Broad Collegiate on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Siftar shot a one-under 70 in the opening round and a two-over, 73 in the second round, as the junior entered the final round tied for first overall. The Slovenian shot a nine-over, 80 in the final round to finish tied with Lauren Thompson for fourth overall. Siftar now has four top-10 finishes this fall, as this is her second time finishing fourth. Siftar finished fourth at the Elon Invitational on Sept. 19.

As a team, Gardner-Webb finished 10th overall, shooting a 107-over, 959 three-round score. The Runnin' Bulldogs finished two strokes behind Wofford.

Anna Snoblova finished 44th, shooting a 32-over, 245 three-round score. Snoblova shot an 81 in the first round and a 78 in the second, before carding an 86 in the final round.

Georgia Barr, Kayla Dowell and Julia Buchgeher all finished around each other at the French Broad Collegiate. Barr finished 47th after shooing a 37-over, 250 three-round score. Her best score came in the third round with an 81. 

Dowell finished 48th with a 38-over, 251, with her best score being a 79 in the second round. Buchgeher shot a 40-over, 253, shooting a pair of 83s in the final two rounds to finish 49th.

Mary Kate Smith of Lipscomb won the individual championship with a six-over, 219. Lipscomb defeated Abilene Christian in the playoff 4-2 to win the team championship. 

The Runnin' Bulldogs close out the fall season at the Fripp Island Preview event. Play begins from South Carolina on Sunday, Nov. 5.
