
Runnin’ Bulldogs Finish Day One at Gamecock Invite

‘Dawgs compete with seven teams in South Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb swimming team opened the first day of the Gamecock Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina on Wednesday, November 15 in the Carolina Natatorium.
The South Carolina Invite includes UNCW, Georgia Southern, Vanderbilt, UNF, University of Tampa, and Milligan University.
In total four 'Dawgs finished in the top three of their events/heats to boost Gardner-Webb. Junior Noah Seip secured a new personal best in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:44.90, his former best was 4:45.18 at the Gamecock Invitational in 2022. Sophomore Justin Bender picked up a 2nd place finish in his heat for the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:50.57 while freshman Dan Bennett placed 3rd in his heat for the 200-yard IM as well at 1:55.04. Junior Zuri Ramsey also recorded a 2nd place finish in his respected heat finishing at 20.93 in the 50-yard freestyle.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to the pool tomorrow on Thursday, Nov. 16 with preliminary sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m. and finals sessions starting at 6:00 p.m. and on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
