CHATTANOOGA, TENN. – Gardner-Webb traveled to Chattanooga on Friday and battled to a 19-16 decision with the match coming down to the final bout of the evening.
 
Drew West started the night with a 3-2 decision at 125 for a quick lead before the Mocs got a decision themselves at 133. Zach Price gave GWU the lead back with his 6-2 win in the bout at 141. Chattanooga responded by claiming the victories in the next two weight classes.
 
RJ Mosley continued his dominant season as he claimed a major decision in 165 to bring tie it back at 10 apiece. The Mocs had a pin at 173 that led to decisions from Jha'Quan Anderson and Sam Mora to have the night come down to the heavyweight bout.
 
Logan Andrew for Chattanooga got an early takedown and stretched out his lead to seal the win for the Mocs and improve to 5-1 within the SoCon.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs will travel to Presbyterian on Sunday for a match at 7:00 p.m.
