BLACKSBURG, Va. – Gardner-Webb finished up day one of the Big South Championship events Friday from Blacksburg.
Amy Prugh finished fifth in the 5000m. She posted a time of 17:29.98 which is good enough for second all-time in school history, beating her previous record of 17:38.82.
Eliel Cuesta and
Mason Jones tied for third in the Heptathlon High Jump, both posting results of 1.77m.
Quentin Peterson placed fourth in the Shot Put with a season best score of 16.05m.
In the 800m,
Julia Reinboth set a personal best of 2:20.35 and sophomore
Brooklyn Tretter did as well at 2:25.73.
Traci Cross's 26.02 in the 200m was a personal record.
Alyiah Eugene placed second in the High Jump with a career high score of 1.65m.
To close out day one
Julia Reinboth,
Amira Austin,
Teryn Bour, and
Jessica Perriello posted a 12:34.63 and placed fourth in the 4000m DMR.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will be back at it tomorrow for the final day of championship events from Blacksburg, Virginia.
