ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Women's Tennis dropped their match at UNC Asheville on Tuesday afternoon. The final score for the match was 6-1 as the Bulldogs improved to 4-0 in Big South play.
The Runnin' Bulldogs dropped the decisions on courts #2 and #3 in doubles to award the host Bulldogs the point. The match on the topflight went unfinished.
UNA Asheville raced out to a strong start in singles as well as they won the first set in five of the six matches. They won four of them in straight sets with the match-clinching point coming from the #4 court.
Gardner-Webb's lone point of the day came from
Emilia Roslund from position #2 by a 6-4, 6-2 scoreline.
Gardner-Webb (1-3) will be back in action on Saturday as they host Longwood (1-2) in a key Big South matchup. The match will be the final one at the Webb Tennis Complex for the women's team and will be the Senior Day for the squad as they will honor
Elise Semmartin and
Courtney Fyvie before it beginning.
