CHARLOTTE – Eduardo Dias earned Big South Co-Player of the Week honors on Wednesday as they conference office announced. This was his third time winning the award this season.
 
Dias went a perfect 4-0 in all his matches form the topflight between singles and doubles last week. He clinched the doubles points and overall team wins in both of GWU's competition as well.
 
On Wednesday at Furman, the team defeated the Paladins 6-1. He won his doubles match 7-6 (3) and his singles in straight sets 7-5, 6-3.
 
At Presbyterian on Sunday, the team's league opener, he aided to help the team claim a 5-2 decision. Dias won with Chrisjan Van Wyk 7-5 and he popped right into singles play with a 6-4, 6-2 decision.
 
Gardner-Webb will be back in action on Monday, March 13 as they travel to William & Mary for a nonconference matchup as the season hits the homestretch.
