Lloclla Named Big South Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE – Valeria Llocolla was named as the Big South Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week. This is the second time that a GWU player has earned the award as Cayline Le Grange won it last week.
After dropping her doubles match, Lloclla responded with a three-set win in singles to close out the day. She played in the #4 flight and won 7-5, 2-6, 10-7. With her win, this gave GWU their second team point to have the match end as a closer 5-2 loss at Charleston Southern instead and help with potential tiebreaker scenarios later in the season.
Gardner-Webb will be back in action on Thursday to host Campbell with a first serve slated for 2:00 p.m. The Runnin' Bulldogs are looking for their first league win after dropping decision to CSU and PC.
