Gardner-Webb Men's Golf Finishes Play Tuesday At 2023 Big South Championship

NINETY SIX, S.C. – Gardner-Webb wrapped up stroke play at the 2023 Big South Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in seventh place.
The Runnin' Bulldogs shot a combined 297 on Tuesday to finish one stroke behind High Point and two strokes behind fifth-place Campbell. The top four of Radford, Longwood, Winthrop and Charleston Southern advanced to Wednesday's match play semifinals.
Max White paced Gardner-Webb for the week, finishing in a tie for 15th individually with a 54-hole score of 221. He shot par in Monday's opening round and finished the tournament with a 74 on Tuesday.
Jules Bondi bounced back from a tough first round to shot 1-under par (71) on Monday afternoon. He finished with a 74 on Tuesday to tie for 21st.
Maddox Whittington (76-74-77-227) finished in a tie for 27th, Peach Bunnadodee (76-75-79-230) finished tied for 30th and Connor Fahey finished 41st.
Fahey led Gardner-Webb with an even par 72 on Tuesday. He birdied three of his final seven holes to pull even.
The Championship was played on the The Patriot at Grand Harbor Championship Course (7,054 yards).
