Gardner-Webb to Join ASUN Swimming

The Runnin’ Bulldogs transition to ASUN for upcoming 2023-24 season
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb swimming team will compete in the ASUN Conference during the 2023-24 Academic year after previously competing in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association.
It marks the first time that the ASUN has sponsored swimming & diving. On the Men's side, Gardner-Webb, Bellarmine University, Florida Atlantic University, Old Dominion University, SMU and Queens University of Charlotte now compete under the ASUN banner. GWU, Bellarmine, and Queens join FGCU, Liberty University, the University of North Florida and UNC Asheville on the Women's side.
"Excited for the new opportunities with the ASUN and I am very thankful for Dr. Goodrich and Dr. Downs support through this transition. Can't wait to start competing this season," said head coach Mike Blum.
The 2023-24 season for the Bulldogs will begin with a dual meet on September 30 at 1 p.m. at East Carolina University.
