WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University men's tennis team tallied pair of wins in this past weekend in the UNCW Clay Court Seahawk Invitational. Senior Eduardo Dias won the Flight A singles tournament, and he and fellow senior Chrisjan Van Wyk bested the competition in the doubles A tournament.
 
"It was a great tournament, and the club is amazing.", said coach Griffith. "Our goal is to be playing for tournament championships on the last day and we did this."
 
Other standouts in the Seahawk Invitational for Gardner-Webb included senior John Spring reaching the finals of the Flight C tournament. Sophomore Johannes Van Wijk reached the semifinals of Flight C. Freshman Jurie Terblanche reached the final of the Flight B singles tournament while graduate student Jonas Grasmuk reached the semis of the same tournament.
 
Up next for the Runnin' Bulldogs is the Davidson Fall Invite. This will take place between Friday, Sept. 22 and Sunday, Sept. 24.
