Gardner-Webb Men’s Tennis Doubles Team Ranked in ITA National Preseason Poll

Eduardo Dias and Chrisjan Van Wyk ranked 32nd in national preseason poll
TEMPE, Ariz. – Seniors Eduardo Dias and Chrisjan Van Wyk of the Gardner-Webb University men's tennis team have been ranked in doubles in the Division I International Tennis Association National Preseason Rankings. The duo was ranked 32nd in the poll.
"It is good to be listed again in the rankings and both of them truly had a special year last spring and I am happy for them.", said coach Griffith. "For the team, I think it gives everyone a little more hop in their step and excitement to see this, and how it is possible for everyone if they work hard."
The only Gardner-Webb men's doubles to team be ranked higher in the poll was Maximilian Scholl and Millen Hurrion who were ranked 26 after posting a record of 15-1 during the 2019 season. Dias and Van Wyk 16-5 in the spring of 2023.
"It is good to be recognized and we are excited for the new season, but we play for the team and we are ready to work even harder this season.", said Van Wyk.
