BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb women's swimming opened up ASUN competition with its first meet of the 2024 year against UNC Asheville as the 'Dawgs fell 140-63 on Saturday, January 6.
The 'Dawgs completed the day with nine top-3 finishes in the 12 total events.
Freshman
Slawka Ndubuisi continued her dominant first-year campaign with a pair of 1
st place finishes in the 50-yard Freestyle (24.49) and the 100-yard Freestyle (53.19). Junior
Emma Maust secured herself a 1
st place finish as well, picking up a time of 5:17.53 in the 500-yard freestyle event. The Runnin' Bulldogs finished 2
nd in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay and a 3
rd place finish in the 400-yard Medley Relay.
The Runnin' Bulldogs get back in the water on January 11 at 5:00 p.m. as the host ASUN opponent, Liberty University, in the Bost Swimming Pool.
