Lea Gossett and
Livi Tanzer of the Gardner-Webb University women's soccer team have been named to All-Big South Conference teams for the 2024 season
Landing on the Second Team, Gossett was one of the most consistent performers for Gardner-Webb during the fall season. The Bailey, N.C. native started in all 19 games for the Runnin' Bulldogs, playing the full 90 minutes on 18 different occasions, tallying just shy of 1700 total minutes on the pitch. Gossett provided an assist against The Citadel, scored a goal in a win over Winthrop, and was booked just twice for the entire season. She ends her Gardner-Webb career having played 70 games and logging over 6,000 minutes played.
Landing on the All-Academic team, Tanzer has maintained a 4.0 GPA through her college career, balancing 17 starts and 19 games while pursuing a career in exercise science. On the pitch this season, Tanzer scored two goals in a win over Converse, added another against Radford for three for the season, while logging 848 minutes. The Eads, Tenn. native concludes her time at Gardner-Webb having played just shy of 3,000 career minutes, scoring 16 times and adding six assists for good measure.
