BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University women's basketball team dropped their Wednesday night contest against Charleston Southern University by a final score of 76-69.
Grace Pack tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds in the ballgame.
The Runnin' Bulldogs went toe-to-toe with the Buccaneers in the first going into the second quarter tied 12 all. Both squads began to heat up in the second half as
Trinity Moreland, Michahla Funderburk, and
Ashley Hawkins tried to take control for GWU. Charleston Southern took a 25-22 lead into the break. The game started to turn in CSU's favor in the third quarter thanks to Catherine Alben. Hawkins, Pack and
Andrea Martinez kept Gardner-Webb in the game late until they had to start stopping the clock on fouls. Charleston Southern hung on for the seven-point victory despite a last-minute push from the 'Dawgs.

Pack led the way for Gardner-Webb dropping 17 with 11 rebounds to post her first career double-double. 17 points is just one shy of her career high. Hawkins scored 10 points while making five assists.

Ramatoulaye Keita each made contibuations of their own whil pulling in seven rebounds each.
