Gardner-Webb's Neza Siftar Named Big South Women's Co-Golfer of the Week

Runnin' Bulldogs junior captures Bright’s Creek Intercollegiate to share honor with Preaw Nontarux of USC Upstate
Charlotte, N.C. - Gardner-Webb junior Neza Siftar (Ljubljana, Slovenia) started the spring women's golf season like she ended in the fall, shooting another good round of golf.
For her efforts, Siftar was named the Big South's Women's Co-Golfer of the Week along with Redshirt Senior Preaw Nontarux, (Lampang, Thailand) of USC Upstate. The conference announced the recognition on Thursday (2/29). The award is for matches played February 19th through February 25th.
Siftar was the top performer with a 54-hole total of 225 (+9) to finish on top of the individual leader board out of 24 competitors at the Bright's Creek Intercollegiate last weekend.
The two-day event (Saturday 2/24 & Sunday 2/25) was played on the 19-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course, ranked #37 by Golf Digest nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
Siftar led the way as Gardner-Webb (+87), who took the team title ahead of Presbyterian College (+101) and North Carolina A&T (+101) who finished in a tie for second place.
The Runnin Bulldogs' will compete next at the Low Country Intercollegiate on Friday March 15 through Sunday March 17, 2024. The event, hosted by Wofford College, is being held at the Moss Creek Golf Club on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The course is Par 72/6,009 yards.
