BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University wrestling squad defeated the Davidson College Wildcats on Friday night by a final team score of 25-17. The match saw the Runnin' Bulldogs come out on top six times over the course of the match.
 
Samuel Mora and Jha'Quan Anderson got the 'Dawgs on the board first both via major decision. Josh McCutchen joined them in the winner's column earning a, 8-1 decision of his own. GWU earned six points via a forfeit before the highlight performances of Todd Carter and Zach Price. Carter won earning a tech fall at 2:19, and Price bested Davidson's Tyler-Xavier McKnight winning a 3-2 tiebreaker on riding time.
 
Gardner-Webb will return to the mat on Sunday Feb. 11 on the road against Presbyterian College at 2:00 p.m.
