
Gardner-Webb Men's Golf Finishes 11th at Wofford Invitational

Senior Jules Bondil in Top 25 on Individual Leaderboard for Runnin' Bulldogs
Newton, N.C. – Gardner-Webb's men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Wofford Invitational hosted by Wofford College.
The two-day event (Monday 4/15 & Tuesday 4/16) was played at the Catawba Country Club in Newton, N.C. (Par-70; 6,683 yards).
Senior Jules Bondil (Pertuis, France) was the top performer for Gardner-Webb with a 54-hole total of 218 (+8) to finish tied for 21st out of 81 competitors.
Following Bondi in the Top 40 on the leader board for the Runnin' Bulldogs was sophomore Jack Boyer (Greensboro, N.C.) , who shot a 220 (+10) to finish tied for 34th place.
Also in the Top 40 was Gardner-Webb graduate senior Carter Rains (Greenville, N.C.) (+12/222), who tied for 40th place.
Senior Mark Chandler (Chester, Nova Scotia) tied for 46th place (+13/223) and graduate senior Max White (Tampa, Fla), tied for 67th place (+18/228) were also in the Gardner-Webb lineup.
South Carolina (+6) took the team title ahead of second-place Davidson College (+9) and third-place Richmond (+14).
Frankie Harris of South Carolina (-2) and Cedric Otten (-2) of host Wofford College tied for first place on the Individual Leaderboard.
Up Next: Gardner-Webb will be the No.7-seed at the upcoming Big South Men's Golf Championship (Thursday 4/18), which will be hosted at the Ocean Creek Golf Course on Fripp Island, S.C.
The Radford Highlanders receive the No. 1 seed based on its current Clippd national ranking of 147, the highest among the eight Big South men's golf programs.
The Big South Men's Golf Championship will be held at the Ocean Creek Golf Course as part of the Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort for the first time, and will utilize a par 71, 6,526-yard layout to determine this year's champion.
The 2024 champion from Match Play will receive the Big South's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals.
