
Gardner-Webb's Neza Siftar Picks Up Pair of All-Conference Golf Distinctions

Runnin' Bulldogs junior named Big South All-Conference Women's Golf First Team and Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year!
FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. - The Big South Conference announced its post-season women's golf awards on Thursday afternoon and Gardner-Webb junior Neza Siftar (Ljubljana, Slovenia) was selected Big South All-Conference Golf First Team, as well as the Big South Conference Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
On the year (2023-24), Siftar led the Big South with eight Top 10 finishes and ranks fifth in stroke average at 74.54.
Siftar was a two-time Medalist in 2023-24 - won Big South Preview in fall and Bright's Creek Intercollegiate this spring - as well as a two-time Big South Conference Golfer of the Week
Siftar has been the Runnin' Bulldogs top performer on the links the past two years. A Big South All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore, Siftar garnered first-team All-Conference distinction her junior year.
The Ljubljana, Slovenia native was the top performer for the Dawgs at this spring's Big South Conference Women's Championship Tournament. Siftar shot a 54-hole total of 225 (+9) to finish in the Top 10 on the Individual Leaderboard. The tournament was held at the Ocean Creek Golf Course in Fripp Island, South Carolina.
Siftar opened the 2024 spring season by leading the Dawgs to the Bright's Creek Intercollegiate championship.
The Gardner-Webb junior was the top performer at Bright's Creek with a 54-hole total of 225 (+9) to finish on top of the individual leader board.
Other spring highlights, Siftar was the Runnin' Bulldogs top performer at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate with a 54-hole total of 225 (9-over) to finish tied for 6th on the leaderboard.
At the Low Country Intercollegiate, Siftar was the Dawgs top performer with a 54-hole total of 231 to finish tied for 16th out of 80 competitors on the leaderboard.
In addition to her outstanding play on the links, Siftar was honored as well for her excellence in the classroom.
Named to the Big South All-Academic Team as a sophomore, Siftar – an International Business major, was selected the Big South Women's Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year as a junior with a GPA of 3.82.
