"It was a great team effort today.", said coach Wigness. "We have 25 players on this roster and we aren't afraid to use them. We try to find the best possible offensive and defensive combination that will put us in position to win. Every player was ready and prepared when their number was called.
Kalyn Kyle was phenomenal closing today. It was fun to sweep, and was the first Big South sweep since I've been here. I am so proud of this team."
Following the game Gardner-Webb Softball honored their six graduating seniors,
Adrienne Visintine,
Andrea Lyon,
Elle Doolittle,
Mackenzie Freeman, Kayliegh Nicholson, and
Sydney Gilbert
"Our senior class has been absolutely amazing.", Wigness added. "Whether they've been here for one year or five years, they have all left this program better than they found it. We will be successful for years to come because of what they have built here. We sure will miss them but I am excited to see where the next phase of life takes them. They will all be very successful in whatever they choose."
