Savannah Dixon of the Gardner-Webb women's soccer team have each received Big South Weekly Awards following the Runnin' Bulldogs 1-0 win over Charleston Southern
Despite playing just 14 minutes off the bench, Tribune scored the game winning goal for Gardner-Webb in the 72nd minute on Saturday and receives Big South Offensive Player of The Week. It was the first goal of the season and first goal for the Charlotte, N.C. native since September of 2024, and the third of her GWU career
In goal, Dixon made six saves for the Runnin' Bulldogs, all in the second half, to help secure the shutout win and land Big South Defensive Player of The Week. The Raleigh, N.C. native has started every game for GWU this season and has recorded 3 straight shutouts, all in Big South play. Dixon and the Runnin' Bulldogs haven't allowed a goal in the last 298 minutes of play dating back to September 20th
Gardner-Webb returns to action on Wednesday night, October 15th for a crucial Big South Conference contest at UNC Asheville
