FINAL RESULTS
BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb men's golf team concluded the Phoenix Invitational with a 10th place finish following a 54-hole combined score of 859 (+7). The Runnin' Bulldogs turned in a first-round score of 288 (+4) before shaving six stokes over the second 18, recording a 282 (-2), before capping the tournament with a 289 (+5).
Senior Jack Boyer turned in his best performance of the season, carding a combined score of 206 (-7) to finish in a tie for 7th. Boyer opened his tournament with a 4-under, 67 before his best round of 66 (-5). He concluded the invitational with a 73 (+2).
Freshman Jude Carper continued his impressive start to his collegiate career, carding a three-round total of 213 (E). He saved his best for last, firing a low round of 68 (-3).
Senior Bradley Davis Jr. turned in a 221 (+8) over 54 holes while junior Pattrasuth Boonthumrongkit concluded his tournament with a combined score of 225 (+12). Rounding out the top five for GWU was sophomore Reed Burton, who carded a total score of 226 (+13).
Gardner-Webb will return to the links on November 1-3 as it participates in the Big South Preview in Fripp Island, S.C.
