Victor Cury has been named ASUN Male Swimmer of The Week
Off to quick start on Friday afternoon as part of a two-day meet at UNC Wilmington, Cury set a new school record time in the men's 1000-yard freestyle. The Belo Horizonte, Brazil native finished top spot in the event with a time of 9:21.15. Fresh off that school record run on Friday night, freshman Cury then put down a time of 4:31.63, including a 26.38 second final split, as he took second place in the men's 500-yard freestyle race on Saturday.
Gardner-Webb returns to the pool on October 17th and 18th at Old Dominion
