Women's Golf Takes Ninth at Terrier Intercollegiate

FINAL RESULTS

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's golf team concluded the Terrier Intercollegiate with a 9th place finish following a 54-hole combined score of 956 (+92). The Runnin' Bulldogs turned in a first-round score of 319 (+31) before shaving four stokes over the second 18, recording a 315 (+27), before capping the tournament with a 322 (+34).

Senior Katelyn Griggs led the way for the Dawgs, finishing in a tie for 23rd following rounds of 77 (+5), 77 (+5), and 78 (+6), carding a combined score of 232 over three rounds.

Freshman Elle Overly tied for 38th with a 54-hole total of 238 (+22). After carding an opening round of 82 (+10), Overly picked the pace up on the second 18, firing her best score of the tournament with a 77 (+5). Her final round included a score of 79 (+7).

Sophomore Eva Bulger turned in a combined score of 241 (+25) while teammate Bekka Mull shot a three-round total of 247 (+31). The duo finished in ties for 42nd and 52nd, respectively.

Rounding out the top five for Gardner-Webb was senior Georgia Barr. Barr opened her tournament with an 81 (+9) before carding rounds of 82 (+10) and 85 (+13) over rounds two and three.

Gardner-Webb will return to the links on November 1-3 as it participates in the Big South Preview in Fripp Island, S.C.
