McBride Earns Fifth Big South Libero of The Week Award Following Milestone Game on Saturday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Per release from the league office, graduate libero Nalani McBride has been named Big South Libero of The Week for the fifth time this season, following a milestone game on Saturday afternoon and a strong individual week over three matches

Continuing an excellent individual season, McBride posted an average of 21.6 assists, 5.90 assists per set across three games, including two GWU wins. The Stafford, Va. native recorded 20 digs in a win over NC Central on Tuesday in non-conference, followed up with 16 against High Point on Friday, then had 29 in a win over Radford on Saturday. Offensively, she also added 10 assists and three service aces to compliment her defensive numbers. 

McBride continues to lead the nation in digs (530) and digs per set (5.64) and reached 1000 for her collegiate career between GWU and Temple in the second set of the Runnin' Bulldogs 3-1 win over Radford

Gardner-Webb makes a quick stop at Division II Lees-McRae on Tuesday night, October 28th at 7 pm before returning to Big South play against Charleston Southern on Friday, October 31st
