BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - After finishing in a tie for fourth place in the Big South, scoring three league wins, and qualifying for the Big South Tournament for the first time since 2022, four members of the Gardner-Webb women's soccer team have been named All-Big South

Stepping in as the starter for the first time as a senior goalkeeper Savannah Dixon has been named First Team All-Big South and the 2025 Big South Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of The Year. Dixon was excellent for the Runnin' Bulldogs all season, being named Big South Defensive Player of The Week four times, making a career-best 17 starts and with over 1500 minutes on the pitch, all while making 102 saves with a .791 save percentage. Dixon saved her best performances for Big South play, making 11 saves including a clutch second-half penalty stop in a 1-0 win at defending champions USC Upstate, then followed it up by resetting her career-high in single games with 13 in the regular season finale against Radford. The Raleigh, N.C. native is the first Gardner-Webb goalkeeper to win the award since its inception in 2021

Landing on the All-Big South Freshman Team, freshman defender Sarah Birchall emerged mid-season to become one of the most important pieces of the Gardner-Webb defense. The Brisbane, Australia native abroad played in 14 games and made 11 starts, including every Big South game. The Runnin' Bulldogs went on a record breaking run with Birchall in lineup, not allowing a goal over six straight games while she was on the pitch

On the pitch, the Mooresville, N.C. native led all outfield players on the team with 1383 minutes across 16 starts, including playing the full 90 in every Big South game.
