BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb University wrestling team competed in its home finale on Friday night inside Paul Porter Arena, falling 23-12 to visiting Bellarmine in a Southern Conference match-up

The Runnin' Bulldogs were once again lead by the nationally ranked duo of redshirt freshman T.K. Davis and graduate student Todd Carter. At 133 pounds, Davis picked up his 19th individual victory of the season. The Rockmart, Ga. native defeated Trayce Eckman by an 8-2 decision to extend one of the best win-loss records in the SoCon this season. On his senior night, Carter scored his 15th individual win of the season at 141 pounds. The Blackshear, Ga. native scored a 7-0 decision over No. 25 ranked AJ Rallo, running his overall record to 15-3 this seasaon. The 'Dawgs also scored points from junior Tyson Lane, who grabbed a win over Jack Parker at 125 pounds and Drew Pepin who defeated Jeb Prechtel at 157 pounds, both by an 8-1 decision.

Gardner-Webb faces a quick turnaround, with the Runnin' Bulldogs visiting Chattanooga in the penultimate dual of the regular season, set for Sunday, February 16th at 1 p.m.
