Runnin' Bulldogs Conclude Wexford Intercollegiate in Ninth Place

FINAL RESULTS
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb men's golf team brought home a 9th place finish following the third and final round of the Wexford Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion University on Tuesday, February 18.
Freshman Reed Burton led the way for the Runnin' Bulldogs over the three-round event, firing a combined total of 222 (+6). The newcomer was able to card 2-over, 74s each round of the tournament.
Junior Jack Boyer finished four strokes behind Burton with a two-day total of 226 (+10) while sophomores Pattrasuth Boonthumrongkit and Jack Mikesell matched that total as each golfer ended their 54 holes in a tie for 35th. Redshirt-junior Martin Frerot rounded out the competitiors for GWU, carding a 54-hole total of 234 (+18).
Gardner-Webb will return to the links on March 10-11, traveling to Aiken, S.C. to compete in the Palmetto Intercollegiate hosted by USC Aiken.
