BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb women's tennis team fell to visiting Wofford College by the final of 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon at the Webb Tennis Complex.
Gardner-Webb jumped out to a quick start after taking two of the three doubles matches to earn the contest's first point. Emilia Roslund and Arili Boshoff took down Grace Agster and Lily Woods in No.1 doubles, 7-6 (8-6) before Milica Prokic and Natalie Crawford took a dominant 6-1 decision over Breda Brennan and Emma Sorensen at No. 2 doubles.
However, the Terriers collected wins in all six singles matches while taking home the 6-1 final score.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will be back on the courts Sunday, March 2, playing host to the Fighting Camels of Campbell. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
