Men's Golf Concludes ECU Intercollegiate in 13th Place

GREENEVILLE, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb men's golf team concluded the 2025 ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley Golf Club with a 13th place finish on Tuesday, March 18. The Runnin' Bulldogs opened play with a combined team score of 312 (+24) before carding their best round of the 54-hole event, a second-round score of 306 (+18). GWU concluded the event firing a final round team score of 316 (+28).
Jack Boyer led the way for the 'Dawgs, finishing in a tie for 36th after turning in a three-round total of 229 (+13). He shot identical scores of 76 (+4) during his first two rounds before carding a 77 (+5) in the third and final round of action.
Pattrasuth Boonthumrongkit turned in a 52nd place finish with a combined 54-hole score of 235 (+19). After firing a 78 (+8) in his opening round, Boonthumrongkit carded a low round of 74 (+2) over his second 18. He concluded the tournament with an 81 (+9).
Teammate Reed Burton matched that score with scores of 77 (+5), 78 (+6), and 78 (+6) while Martin Frerot shot 23-over during his three rounds with scores of 81 (+9), 78 (+6), and 80 (+8).
Jack Mikesell rounded out the performers for the Runnin' Bulldogs with a combined score of 248 (+32) over 54 holes. Mikesell fired an 83 (+11) in round one before trimming three strokes with an 80 (+8) in round two. He concluded his tournament with a score of 85 (+13).
Gardner-Webb will return to the links on March 28-30 while participating in the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate co-hosted by East Carolina and Elon in Snow Hill, N.C.
