| By:

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Fresh off her Big South Freshman of the Week nod, Arili Boshoff of the Gardner-Webb (6-6) women's tennis team took down Juana Gomez Weiss of North Carolina A&T (5-4) 7-5, 3-6, 10-7 (7) at No. 4 singles while clinching the Runnin' Bulldogs fourth consecutive win and second straight shutout on Wednesday afternoon at The Webb Tennis Complex.

Gardner-Webb wasted no time jumping on the Aggies after Alizée Poulin and Greta Murzsa picked up a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles before Milica Prokic and Natalie Crawford clinched the doubles point with a 7-5 victory at No. 1.

Riding the momentum, Crawford doubled the Runnin' Bulldogs lead after winning No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-4 over Hana El Sherif before Murzsa put GWU one win away following her 6-4, 7-5 straight set win at No. 5 singles over Flavia Villegas.

Already with a commanding lead, Boshoff tallied a hard-fought three-set win at No. 4 to give the Runnin' Bulldogs the required four points for victory. Poulin also earned a win at No. 1 singles before Prokic tallied a win at No. 2. North Carolina A&T did not have a player for No. 6 singles, giving Valeria Lloclla a win by forfeit.

The Runnin' Bulldogs will put their winning streak on the line on Sunday, March 23, traveling to the coast to face Charleston Southern in Big South action. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
