Kendall Scott has been named Big South Conference Freshman of The Week for the second week in a row and second time this season
Scott continued a stellar run of play on Wednesday night at Radford with her fifth game in a row in double-figure scoring. The Fredericksburg, Va. native followed up back-to-back 18 point games last week with 12 points, five rebounds in the 'Dawgs road finale. She then exploded for a career-high and joint-team-high 25 points on Saturday against Presbyterian to end the regular season, doing so while shooting 9-of-13 from the floor and 6-of-7 at the free throw line
For the week, Scott averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals for the week, shot 13-of-24 overall and 10-of-13 to add to one of the best free throw marks in the Big South Conference. Saturday's game was also Scott's first 20-point scoring performance of her Gardner-Webb career.
Gardner-Webb returns to action at the 2025 Hercules Tires Big South Championship, where the No. 6 seed Runnin' Bulldogs will face No. 3 seed Radford at 8:30 p.m. on March 6th in Johnson City, Tenn.Â
