Women’s Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision Versus Elon

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb (2-6) women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 contest versus Elon on Saturday afternoon at the Webb Tennis Complex.
The Phoenix swept doubles to go up 1-0 in the match before taking all six singles flights for the victory. Alizée Poulin shined light for the Runnin' Bulldogs, taking Helen Sarikulaya to three sets at No. 2 singles. After dropping set one, Poulin came back with a dominant 6-1 win in set two before falling in the decisive third, 6-3.
Gardner-Webb will return to action on Monday, March 10, traveling to take on Charleston Southern at 1 p.m.
